Professor Massicotte currently serves as the Executive Fire Officer for the National Fire Academy.

Mr. Sandford is a former Deputy Commissioner of Emergency Management and Homeland Security for the State of Connecticut and a former Fire Chief for the East Haven Fire Department. He is also an ordained deacon for the Roman Catholic Church.

Chief Struble has been with the Wallingford Fire Department for over 27 years. He has spent the last 13 years as the department’s chief. He works closely with Yale-New Haven Hospital to jointly bring emergency medical service classes to the University of New Haven. Chief Struble is one of less than 100 Fire Officers nationwide to be accredited as both a Chief Fire Officer and a Chief Medical Officer.
Dr. Rachel Dowty Beech received her B.S. and M.S. degrees in biology studying environmental and wetland restoration, and conducted research on oil spill bioremediation in freshwater marshes. Always integrating different disciplinary approaches to solving problems, she taught a diverse array of college courses at Southeastern Louisiana University, the State University of New York (SUNY) at Plattsburgh, and Clinton Community College.
